A Character with a strong connection to a heroic bloodline is blessed with a sigil. Your sigil serves as a connection to your ancestor and provides you with a the ability to enter a heroic state for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + your Key Ability Score’s modifier.

At each level after 1st, you can be in the Heroic State for 2 additional rounds per day. Temporary increases to your Key Ability Score don’t increase the total number of rounds that you can be in the heroic state per day. The total number of rounds that you are able to be in a heroic state per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours need not be consecutive.

You are able to enter or exit the Heroic State as a free action. After you exit the Heroic State you are unable to enter another one without consequences. If you enter the Heroic State again before a number of rounds equal to twice the number of rounds spent in the heroic state have passed when you exit the Heroic State you will become Stunned for a number of rounds equal to twice the total amount of rounds spent between both Heroic States.
If you fall unconscious, the Heroic State immediately ends.

When a character enters a Heroic State, they often takes on a physical transformation influenced by his ancestor and powered by the blood that flows within them. Unless otherwise specified, they gain the effects of his Heroic State powers only while in a Heroic State; once the Heroic State ends, all powers from his Sigil immediately cease, and any physical changes the they underwent revert, restoring them to normal.
